Doing the white cross
The goal of this first step is to bring the edge cubies with a white face in the correct
position. In particular, the associated second color of the edge cubie will be positioned
over the corresponding center cubie. The result should look like this:
But let us start slowly and step by step. Before we do any move, you have to check that
you are holding your cube in the correct position. The only thing you have to consider is
that your upper side has the white center cubie.
Next we will consider 5 states and for each you will get the exact steps to progress
to the next state, until you get the correct white cross.
You will observe that if your cube is in state 0 it has no white edge cubies in
the correct place, if it is in state 1 it has one white edge cubie in
the correct place, if it is in state 2 it has two white edge cubies in
the correct place, if... etc.
