Mathematician

In MATERIAL FOR ALL you can find freely-available didactics material: a visual maths dictionary, mathematical posters, a book with mathematical riddles, problems for mathematical competitions, and more.

I am Professor for Mathematics and its Didactics at the University of Luxembourg.
My Alma Mater is Scuola Normale di Pisa. After my PhD in Rome working with René Schoof, I was researcher at EPFL and KU Leuven. I was appointed lecturer at the University of Regensburg, then I joined the University of Luxembourg as an Associate Professor.

In mathematics, my research specialization is number theory (a subject which is relevant to modern cryptography) but I also have works in geometry, graph theory, and various topics of recreational mathematics. I believe in undergraduate research, and I have several students as junior coauthors. My didactical projects mostly aim at producing innovative and freely-available material for teachers, pupils, and the general public (see the section Mathematics for all). For my popularization articles, see the section Recreational maths & didactics.
